1. Information we collect

Binary MLM Pro ("the app", "we") collects the following data from Shopify stores that install us:

• Customer data: name, email, phone, and Shopify customer ID — used to link each customer to their position in the binary affiliate tree and route commissions to their upline.
• Order data: Shopify order ID, subtotal, total, currency, and status — used to compute leg volumes and binary-match commissions.
• Shop data: shop domain, encrypted access token, and granted scopes — used to authenticate Shopify API calls.

2. How we use the data

All data is used solely for operating the merchant's binary affiliate program:

• Placing new affiliates into the binary tree with BFS spillover
• Tracking left- and right-leg volume on every ancestor
• Calculating and crediting binary-match commissions in real time
• Reversing commissions on order cancellation or full refund
• Maintaining wallet balances and a full transaction ledger
• Rendering analytics dashboards visible only to the merchant

We do not sell, rent, or share data with third parties and do not use it for advertising or any purpose unrelated to the affiliate program in the merchant's own store.

3. Storage and security

Data is stored in an encrypted database on infrastructure operated by the app developer. Shopify access tokens are encrypted at rest. All API traffic uses HTTPS/TLS. Backups are encrypted. Production database access is restricted to authorized personnel.

4. Data retention

Data is retained for the lifetime of your active app installation. Within 30 days of app uninstall, all shop-specific data is permanently deleted. Earlier deletion can be requested by emailing support.

5. GDPR & data subject rights

We comply with Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact). End customers can request their data or its deletion through the merchant; we respond within 30 days.

6. Protected Customer Data

The app requests Protected Customer Data access (Customer name, email, phone) to maintain the affiliate profile bound to each Shopify customer. Data is never transmitted outside the merchant's app installation.
